The Visionary Behind The Mission

At the heart of the Iraiyarasu Parish Management Platform is the visionary leadership and pastoral wisdom of Rev. Fr. Selvarathinam, a dedicated diocesan priest of the Diocese of Thoothukudi. With over 15 years of priestly ministry, Fr. Selvarathinam has consistently integrated faith, technology, and media to serve the Church in meaningful and transformative ways.

Fr. Selvarathinam has been instrumental in conceptualizing Iraiyarasu not merely as a software solution, but as a pastoral tool deeply rooted in the Church’s mission of evangelization, community building, and spiritual administration. Drawing from his rich experience in parish ministry, catechetical training, and Catholic media, he envisioned a platform that would address the growing needs of parishes and dioceses to operate efficiently, transparently, and pastorally in a digital world.

Under his spiritual guidance and strategic direction

The platform was developed with a strong emphasis on Tamil Catholic identity and heritage, ensuring that liturgical life, prayer resources, and cultural expressions were faithfully represented.

• Functional modules were designed to support both pastoral and administrative dimensions— from sacramental records to catechism management, from event coordination to spiritual engagement through digital content.

• His leadership inspired a team of technologists led by Mr. Tensingh Prabu, the Architect and Mr. Tido Vinus, the Chief Developer; designers led by
Mr. Antony Simon; Pastoral Ministers, Theologians, Scriptural Scholars and Communicators to collaborate across domains to bring Iraiyarasu to life.

• Fr. Selvarathinam continues to play an active role as the spiritual backbone and mission guide of Iraiyarasu—offering theological insight, ensuring pastoral sensitivity, and driving the vision of inclusive, faith-filled digital transformation for parishes across Tamil Nadu and beyond.
